At the very top of my list is Pop’s Pizza, and for good reason. It’s the perfect combination of bold flavors and unforgettable ambiance. During the warmer months, their outdoor seating along the Ljubljanica River offers one of the most beautiful dining views in the city, with colorful houses lining the water.
The pizzas are creative and consistently excellent. My absolute favorite is Lucky Luciano - spicy ’nduja, black olive dust, and whipped ricotta come together in a perfectly balanced bite. And whatever you do, save room for dessert: their tiramisu is exceptional. Be prepared to wait during peak hours, but trust me, it’s worth it.

One of the pioneers of Neapolitan pizza in Ljubljana, Verace continues to hold its ground. The space is small and cozy, but don’t let that deter you—the pizzas are outstanding. Soft, airy crusts, high-quality ingredients, and classic combinations make this a must-visit. If you’re unsure what to order, go for the Primavera, my personal favorite.
If you’re exploring the greener side of Ljubljana, you’ll likely find yourself near Koseški bajer—a charming pond surrounded by walking trails, cafés, and locals enjoying the outdoors. Kosezar is the perfect stop to refuel after a walk. Their pizzas are satisfying, well-made, and exactly what you want in such a relaxed setting.

Another popular spot outside the city center, Peruzza is well-loved for its Neapolitan-style pizzas and solid flavor selection. It’s often busy, which speaks for itself—locals know this place delivers consistently good pizza.
Completely different from the rest, Fetiche Bar offers a truly unique take on pizza. Their sourdough bases are baked first, and the toppings are added afterward. The result is unexpected, inventive, and incredibly delicious. If you’re looking for something out of the ordinary, this is the place.

Located outside the city center, Trappa is absolutely worth the extra effort. The pizzas are delicious, and the menu offers some standout options. They also have a central location called tra PICABOJ if you want something more accessible. Don’t miss the tuna pizza with fresh tuna and wasabi mayo, or their excellent marinara for something simple and classic.
For a more traditional approach, Foculus is a reliable classic. They offer a wide variety of toppings and, as a bonus, several different types of dough. It’s a great choice if you’re dining with a group and want plenty of options.
Named after their signature dish - its roasted suckling pig, this Ljubljana institution also turns out very good wood-fired pizzas, made in the same oven as the meat that gives the place its name. It's a cozy, local spot by the Gradaščica creek — great if you want proper pizza alongside heartier Slovenian classics on the same table.
A century-old inn turned buzzy gastropub, Katrca serves solid pizza alongside its grilled meats and beer garden charm. The pizzas are great and a fair price and the space, which allows you to sit under old chestnut trees with a pie and a well-poured beer is even better.

An institution in Ljubljana, Parma is steeped in nostalgia. Older generations will happily tell you stories of coming here with their families and enjoying pizza with thick juice on the side. The pizza itself is distinctive, with a very thick crust—definitely not for everyone, but still undeniably delicious and worth trying at least once.
An outlier on this list, but far too popular to ignore. Although not originally from Ljubljana, Kruhkerija Gorjanc opened its flagship location at Gospodarsko razstavišče. They specialize in filled bread rolls—pizza rolls, tuna rolls, and even sweet Nutella rolls—served with a variety of dips. It’s casual, fast, and incredibly satisfying.
