During the warmer months, the city centre comes alive with festivals and events, including many dedicated to food and drink. While new and exciting festivals pop up every year, some have already become beloved traditions.
Odprta kuhna
Odprta kuhna, or Open Kitchen Market, has become a true institution in Ljubljana. Every Friday from March to October, Pogačarjev trg comes to life - weather permitting. From 10 AM to 9 PM, you can grab a bite and a drink at one of the many food stalls offering traditional Slovenian or international cuisine.
Brina Cocktail Festival
Originally launched as a gin festival, Brina has evolved into a celebration of mixology. Each June, for one afternoon, Križanke transforms into a vibrant space filled with lights, music, and specialty cocktails. It's a great place to hang out, sip creative drinks, and enjoy the atmosphere.
