What Can You Visit in Slovenia by Train?
Slovenia’s rail network connects most major destinations, though for some spots you’ll want to combine train + bus for efficiency.
Ljubljana – Your Base
Arrive at Ljubljana station (Ljubljana železniška postaja)—the country’s main hub.
Slovenia’s capital is small but full of life: a walkable old town, riverside cafés, a hilltop castle, and a vibrant social scene. It’s the perfect place to slow down for a day or two.
Lake Bled & Lake Bohinj – Alpine Icons

Then a short bus ride into the valley.

Postojna Cave & Predjama Castle – Underground Wonders

Seaside Escape – Koper / Piran
